Job Description |
Performs environmental health and sanitation inspections on various assigned premises, facilities, and environmental health systems (e.g., food service operations; home sewage disposal systems; parks and campgrounds; public pools, spas, and beaches; schools; manufactured home parks; solid waste disposal; private water supplies; public health nuisances; rabies control; tattoo and body piercing establishments; etc.) to ensure and enforce compliance with existing applicable health standards, codes, regulations, and laws; performs routine environmental testing to determine non-compliance with unsanitary abatement standards and applies agency’s standardized methodology to enforce state and local laws and regulations for abatement of unsanitary conditions; initiates enforcement activities; maintains files and records of inspections and consultations. |
